Answers to all questions about the Valencia Tourist Card, organised by topic. Please note: when you purchase through this site you receive a voucher, which you exchange on arrival for the physical card.
Purchase & Price
How much does the Valencia Tourist Card cost?+
The Valencia Tourist Card is available for 24, 48 or 72 hours, with separate prices for adults and children aged 6 to 12. The current live price for each option is shown in the price calculator.
How do I buy the card?+
Book the card online and receive a voucher instantly by e-mail. Exchange this voucher in Valencia for the physical card. Before purchasing, simply choose the validity period (24, 48 or 72 hours) and your start date.
Do I need a separate card for my child?+
Children aged 0 to 5 do not need their own card. Children aged 6 to 12 pay a reduced price, available for all three durations (24, 48 and 72 hours). The current reduced price is shown in the price calculator.
Is the card worth it?+
The price always includes unlimited public transport in zones ABCD and free entry to 14 museums. The metro transfer from and to the airport alone, plus two or three museum visits, typically cover the cost of the card. Choose the validity that matches the length of your stay.
Validity & Use
How do I collect my card after booking?+
You receive a voucher by e-mail which you exchange on arrival for the physical card. Collection points include the tourist office at the airport (arrivals hall), the office at City Hall (Plaza del Ayuntamiento), the digital kiosk at Joaquin Sorolla station, and the AVE high-speed rail station.
When is the card activated and how long is it valid?+
The card is activated on first use on public transport and is then valid for 24, 48 or 72 consecutive hours. If you activate a 72-hour card on Monday at 15:00, it is valid until Thursday at 15:00. Plan your first tap strategically.
Does the card expire from the purchase date or from first use?+
No. Validity begins only when you use the card for the first time on public transport. Until then, you can keep it safely. Tap it only when your sightseeing is about to begin.
Can one card be used by more than one person?+
The physical card is valid for one person. If you are travelling in a group, each person needs their own card. Children aged 0 to 5 are exempt.
Public Transport
Which transport options are included?+
Travel freely by bus, metro and tram in zones ABCD, including the metro from and to the airport (lines L3 and L5).
Is the airport transfer included?+
Yes. The card covers the metro transfer from and to the airport (lines L3 and L5). Collect your card at the airport on arrival and the transfer is covered immediately.
Which zones does the public transport cover?+
The card is valid across the entire ABCD fare zone. This covers not just the city centre but also the airport and the surrounding area within these zones.
Included Attractions
What is the Valencia Tourist Card?+
The Valencia Tourist Card is the official tourist card of the city: unlimited public transport (bus, metro, tram in zones ABCD including the airport transfer), free entry to 14 museums and monuments, plus discounts on further attractions. Available for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
Which museums are included?+
Free entry is included for 14 municipal museums and monuments, among them the Lonja de la Seda (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Torres de Serranos and the Torres de Quart.
Are Oceanografic and Bioparc free?+
Oceanografic and Bioparc offer a discount with the card, not free entry. The card reduces the ticket price, but you still purchase the ticket separately.
What is the difference between the Tourist Card and the Valencia Pass?+
The two are different products. The Valencia Tourist Card is a physical card that includes public transport and free entry to 14 municipal museums. The Valencia Pass is a digital package that fully includes Oceanogràfic, the Science Museum, Bioparc and a hop-on hop-off bus, plus an audio guide app - but no public transport. For bus, metro and the municipal museums the Tourist Card is the right choice; for the big attractions it is the Valencia Pass.
Cancellation & Other Questions
Can I cancel or change my booking?+
Yes, unused vouchers can be cancelled or changed free of charge up to 24 hours before your visit date. Once the card has been activated, no refund is possible.
What happens if my travel dates change?+
As long as you have not yet redeemed the voucher, you can change the start date free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. A voucher that has already been activated cannot be changed.
Do I need to print the voucher?+
Keep the voucher safe - ideally saved digitally on your phone and printed out as a backup. You will need it to collect the physical card on arrival.
