The Valencia Tourist Card doubles as your ticket for the whole city network: buses, metro and trams in Zones ABCD travel free for the full validity of your card - 24, 48 or 72 hours. There is no limit on the number of rides, so you can hop between the old town, the City of Arts and Sciences and the beach without thinking about single tickets.
From the airport to the city
The metro Lines L3 and L5 connect Valencia Airport with the city centre, and the ride is included in both directions. The most convenient start: exchange your voucher at the tourist office in the arrivals hall, and your transfer is covered from the very first minute.
Activation and validity
The card activates on your first ride on public transport and then runs for 24, 48 or 72 consecutive hours - not calendar days. If you first board the metro on Monday at 3 PM with a 72-hour card, it is valid until Thursday at 3 PM. Plan your first ride accordingly: activating in the evening keeps a full extra sightseeing day on the card.
Practical tips
- Pick up the physical card before your first ride: at the airport (arrivals hall), at City Hall (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) or at the digital kiosk at Joaquin Sorolla station.
- The tram is the relaxed way to reach the beach and the marina; the metro brings you quickly across town.
- Children up to 5 years travel without their own card; from 6 to 12 there is a discounted children's card.
